Gods

From Old World

The All-Father

Atherion the Taken Man

The Usurper of the First Throne, Father of Unintended Gods

Once mortal, Atherion seized the remnants of an older, spent pantheon and wears divinity like an ill-fitting crown. He does not plan creation; he reacts. His divinity answers imbalance by spawning gods, often without foresight, causing contradictions that further fracture reality.

The Lesser Gods

These are widely known, prayed to across nations, and often contradict one another by design.

Helior, God of Bountiful Fields

Born during the First Great Famine. His excess provoked envy, rot, and waste.

Vaelith, Goddess of Peace and Accord

Created during the Age of Endless War. Her intolerance for conflict birthed darker echoes.

Kharos, God of War Unending

Spawned by Vaelith during prolonged peace, to rekindle “necessary struggle.”

Morvane, God of Famine and Want

A deliberate counterbalance to Helior. Worshipped in secret by survivalists and tyrants.

Ilyra, Goddess of Mercy

Born from mass suffering; her followers often clash with justice and law.

Tyrrek, God of Law and Chains

Manifested when mercy ran unchecked and empires collapsed into chaos.

Neska, Goddess of Ingenuity and Desperation

Atherion’s favorite accident—born when mortals adapted instead of praying.

Ulgrim, God of Strength and Endurance

Revered by soldiers and laborers; despises cleverness and magic.

Sethryx, God of Secrets and Forgotten Truths

Created unintentionally when Atherion tried to erase a god he regretted.

Valcorin, God of Kings and Crowns

Born when mortals demanded divine justification for rule. Quietly resented by Atherion.

The Minor Gods

These gods are regional, situational, or half-forgotten. Many overlap domains or contradict their “parent” gods.

Brannoch, God of Empty Granaries

Elyss, Goddess of Ceasefires and Unkept Treaties

Droven, God of Rust and Broken Weapons

Caitha, Goddess of Last Chances

Hurn, God of Forced Marches

Pellae, Goddess of Crop Blight

Rathuun, God of Bloodlust (denounced by Kharos, but tolerated)

Sivren, Goddess of Clever Lies

Orrik, God of Backbreaking Labor

Maelis, Goddess of Unwanted Peace

Thyra the Thin, Goddess of Hunger That Teaches

Kelvos, God of Sudden Inspiration

Jarn, God of Siege and Attrition

Luthiel, Goddess of Forgiveness Regretted

Boros, God of Shields and Retreats

Vesska, Goddess of Small Triumphs

Nhal, God of Lost Causes

Irix, God of Reckless Courage

Saemor, God of Broken Oaths

The Unnamed One, God of Things Almost Remembered

(Atherion insists this god does not exist. Temples to it keep disappearing.)

The Sealed Gods

Even a creature as powerful as Atherion makes mistakes. Some Gods have been sealed away and their memories erased from the world. Some things are best left forgotten...
